When there is no peace in your mind and you are not feeling good that shows something happened to you during the day which changed your mood. The reason behind your mood changed is because you allowed the situation or people to take charge on you. When there is love, happiness and peace within you, no outside sources will disconnect the harmony with your mind and heart. Learn to tackle that incident if it happens again apart from reacting a lot and saying all that my day was not good. Day starts with a Sunrise and ends with a Sunset. Your day should always start with smile and grateful for all the things you have in your life and ends with satisfaction for doing all those tasks which you were going to do on a particular day. Be strong, stronger and strongest day by day. Jot down all the mistakes that you made and how to overcome those if it occurs again. Remember that if you know something and learned from it then do only what you know. Application of your knowledge, wisdom and experience at the right place and right time is necessary. Others are not knowing what they are doing and it is not our duty to tell them what is right and what is wrong. Everybody has to learn his own lessons and we cannot force them to learn their lessons. In a practical scenario, people nowadays don't entertain any sort of advices. So, as you may or may not know I am an only child. Not surprising. My imagination is vivid and when on vacation I have a lot of time on my hands to make things up and try new things out. I found this Strawberry-Banana Milk in a store in The Bronx called "Fairway". I drank it & I loved it. Then I was like, hmm....milk....baking....what can I make with this??? Corn muffins! They were great, my house smelled great & my mother asked me to make them again! :-) Satisfying taste-buds is MY specialty ;-)

All, I did was use this milk instead of regular milk that the recipe calls for & I used a tad bit more just to make them a little more moist. I was hoping that the milk would turn the cupcakes pink like the color of the milk buuut being that the recipe only calls for such a small amount, that wasn't happening. :-/ Boo! But, they were still good regardless!

I don't know if anyone missed me blogging on here but I've been pretty uninspired lately. The ending of 2011 was pretty rough for me and I've just been mainly keeping to myself & working on me. *shrugs* I would never know if anyone appreciates what I do because I feel like everything I do goes unnoticed. I rarely get feedback when I need it most so I just don't bother. But, then I realize that I'm not doing anything that I do for anyone else, it's for me to somewhat express myself in the best ways that I know how which usually doesn't involve words. I really hope that 2012 is a better year for me and anyone else who may need some better times. I'm not depressed or anything but I'm neither happy or sad I'm just here at that moment, being. It probably has something to do with the cold weather and the fact that I can't stand being cold. Which is why I hope to be able to find a job in Miami or somewhere Tropical :-) There's been a lot of things bothering me lately and they just get built up inside of me waiting to explode. I don't know what's going on with "friendships" lately but they've been on the rocks. I feel like I'm not friends with a lot of people anymore, we're just strangers with memories and that's uncool. I've never been the confrontational type so I just let things be and let people be. I may miss you and will never tell you but yet you see as me being a stranger when I'm just unsure of if you miss me how I miss you.... Anyways, I don't know if anyone is going to read this soo I'm going to stop here. *sigh*

P.S. no one is obligated to be your friend. I feel like some people don't understand when to distance themselves from people, especially when they don't have anything positive offer. Just like you have your trials and tribulations, other people do too and they may not be in the mood for your bullshit in that particular moment. It's okay to hit my phone to just want to say hi, fine. But if you're constantly hitting my phone with negativity, I don't need it & you can take it elsewhere and have a pity party ALONE! Also, don't ask me how am I doing if you really don't care & would rather use that opportunity to complain, complain, COMPLAiN! I have my own problems that I'd like to solve by thinking positive thoughts. Thaaanks :-)

Once upon a time I started making cupcakes for people's birthday as a way of showing I care. Started with one person & then I realized I was good at it. When I started making them with liquor AND putting them into ice cream cones, I cannot quite remember. HOWEVER, every time I make them they are gone in five minutes or less. I don't really have a specific recipe because I just use the mix that comes in the box from the supermarket. I CAN give you all some tips though :-)

When the recipe calls for milk or water I substitute part of that amount and replace it with a little bit of fruit punch & whatever liquor is on hand.

For the ice cream cone cupcakes there is not much to it. But i'd like to keep it my secret (-:
hahaaaa, just ask me to make them for you. Buh byeeee.

Happy Feet 2 was SOOOOOOOO CUUUUTTTEEEE!!!! I want it on dvd NOW. If you have little ones to go see it with, take them. I don't at the moment but that didn't stop me so why should it stop YOU?! It had some little sad moments, but they were realistic and picked right back up. The songs make you want to dance yourself up out of your seat, it's just CUTE! Go see it!!

I'm one of those girls that can spend forever in a beauty supply store trying to find something new to use for my (always been) natural hair. Especially, products that I can use as an alternate to gel. This product's first ingredient is Mineral oil. It does NOTHING but dries out your hair and makes it BLEH! Maybe someone else has had a different experience & loves it. *shrugs* I'm throwing it away after giving it several tries. Unless you want it!

The process of Ho'oponopono (Hawaiian/Asian tradition)

I just so happen to open up an email from The Daily Love today that I received a few days ago, and I was just clicking different links and somehow ended up on this website that dealt with letting go negative feelings you may have towards people. I already knew that it is unhealthy to carry that kind of weigh around, but I sometimes forget ways of how to let it go. On one website I ended up on it explains the following theory and process that I thought was interesting and good to know.

THEORY: We carry inside us as parts of the Unconscious Mind, all the significant people in our lives. (These parts of us often look very much like Carl Jung's archetypes.) Ho'oponopono makes it "all right" with them. The process of Ho'oponopono is to align with and clean up our genealogy as well as to clean up our relationships with other people in our lives.
The Process of Ho'oponopono:

Bring to mind anyone with whom you do not feel total alignment or support, etc.
In your mind's eye, construct a small stage below you
Imagine an infinite source of love and healing flowing from a source above the top of your head (from your Higher Self), and open up the top of your head, and let the source of love and healing flow down inside your body, fill up the body, and overflow out your heart to heal up the person on the stage. Be sure it is all right for you to heal the person and that they accept the healing.
When the healing is complete, have a discussion with the person and forgive them, and have them forgive you.
Next, let go of the person, and see them floating away. As they do, cut the aka cord that connects the two of you (if appropriate). If you are healing in a current primary relationship, then assimilate the person inside you.
Do this with every person in your life with whom you are incomplete, or not aligned.
The final test is, can you see the person or think of them without feeling any negative emotions. If you do feel negative emotions when you do, then do the process again.

Winter time vicious winds have your lips peeling, cracked, or just not feeling soft & luscious?
Blistex & all the other chapsticks can only do BUT so much! So, thanks to youtube I found a way to exfoliate the lips. Honey is known for its antibacterial and moisturizing properties, while sugar can be used as an exfoliant. All you have to do is pour some sugar in the palm of your hand & mix in some honey until you have a paste. Put it onto your lips and rub them together until you feel ready to take it off. (some people like to lick it off, not me though) You can also do this before you go into the shower to mix some steam into the process. Not only is this good for your lips but you can also make a facial scrub. (Instructions when you click "more" thanks to eHow)

Things You'll Need:

Honey

Face wash

Toner

Moisturizer

Cucumber

Towel

Cleanse your face. The first step before you apply just about any scrub or mask is to wash your face. Make sure you choose a gentler cleanser because you will be exfoliating and a harsh cleanser could result in skin irritation. Gently towel dry your face.

Mix it all up. Gather the two products you need for your facial: honey and sugar. Get a mixing bowl and a mixing tool. A spoon works great. Take 1 tablespoon of sugar and put it in the bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of money. Mix everything together with the spoon. You want the consistency to be thick but not too runny. If you need more of either product, add it in until you reach the desired consistency.

Make the cucumber slices. If you want to give your eyes a little TLC, cut 2 cucumber circles. If not, skip this step and proceed to the next step.

Apply the mask or scrub. Apply the honey and sugar mix to your face. Be gentle because you don’t want to over exfoliate your skin. If you’re using it as a scrub, skip the next step and go straight to step 5.

Sit down and relax. Once the mask has been applied, it’s time to set your timer and relax for about 25 minutes. If you want to put cucumbers over your eyes, do it now. Some people prefer to lay down when they have the mask on because sometimes the honey can get runny. Put a towel across your chest. This will catch any honey that drips.

Remove the honey mixture. Once the timer goes off, it’s time to rinse the mask off. Get your hands a little bit wet and gently start rubbing the mask into your skin. You will begin to feel the exfoliating properties of the sugar. Do this for approximately 45 seconds. If you have sensitive skin, do it for 20 seconds. Once the time is up, rinse your face completely making sure that you get all traces of the honey off. Proceed with applying your favorite toner and moisturizer. Lastly, take a look in the mirror and admire that glowing skin

I'm not really one that has an easy time saying goodbye to anyone. some that know me, may know I say "don't say bye, say see you later". why? I don't know. But I have an even harder time saying see you later to my mother when she's leaving Baltimore and I'm getting ready to start school. We bonded a lot this summer and I guess that's why I broke down and cried when her train came. But long story short, when my mother got home she told me she was going to lay in "Poetri's room" and I asked why "Poetri" and she replied because I remind her of a poem. When I asked why, she replied with this:

Lol I knew you would ask and I am ready because good poetry is deep with many ways to interpret...those with substance get you. However when you want you can be a predictable poem like one that rhymes for those who need that. Poems are also about the senses: sight-photography, smell-you like fragrance, touch-you like natural aka 'real' fabrics, taste-you are a foodie, sound-know your music,sixth sense-you are getting in touch with your intuition:) wow, that was good!

It is now the month of August, which means it's almost that time of year again, Yup! SCHOOL TIME! Believe it or not I am ready to learn. Everyone keeps saying their summer flew by. umm NOT MINE! But anyways, the other day I began thinking about how I miss high school, so I went to go visit the outside of it and took some photos. I think I loved my high school (New Rochelle High School) so much because it was so big and had SO many students (3,600 when I was there and a graduating class of 900). It was like a little big city with two lunchrooms, a planetarium (where I had Astronomy class), a dark room for photography, pottery class with everything you need. It was like the Disney Channel. Most the people I know with Macs don't even use them for anything besides twitter, facebook and to type papers...MAYBE! Then it cost even more money for programs that are specially made for the Mac operating system or whatever they have inside of them. So, in conclusion I would like for whoever reads this to give me FIVE, yes FIVE GREAT REASONS AS TO WHY I SHOULD GET A MAC!

I miss the days of being a little girl, when the only worries I had were associated with getting new clothes for my barbies, & a new polly pocket set. Those were not even worries or concerns but about 15 years ago I thought they were. I still lived in Brooklyn, both my parents were in my life, (I'm fine with just my mother being in it though) I was probably even still having snack time in school. That was the best and those were the days. Now I'm 23 and I don't have as many bills as some people I know that are my age but I do have worries, more feelings and more concerns then I did when I was 8 years old. I even maker bigger mistakes....bigger then coloring on the walls at home. I'm always told that there is a lesson in everything,sometimes you don't learn the lesson right there on the spot sometimes you do. I just wish that people did not have to get hurt in the midst of learning the lesson.

Is it possible to grow with someone that you love by having small arguments here and there? I was told that love is not all fun and games all the time. I thought one of the points of having arguments and debates is to learn from it, avoid it next time, and become a better person from it. Especially when the arguments are measly, petty and are like little pebbles in the road you barely notice. Can't you look for a trend in why these arguments have started? Yes, you can and then make sure it doesn't happen again. I enjoy having someone that knows everything I like, love, hate, dislike, want and need and I enjoy knowing that all about someone else just as well.

It seems to be that when I wake up early in the morning I have all this thoughts and then I fall back asleep. This morning I woke up randomly at 6 something, maybe because the sun was peeking in behind my curtains that are made to BLOCK the sun out. Anyways. I was thinking about how I'm the only child for my mother, & I don't really get the experiences that people with siblings have. I don't know what it's like to have someone around your age who will fight for you & an hour late fight YOU. Or someone who teaches you things that your parents don't teach you. I've always for the longest time wanted a big brother, so whenever I get the chance to have a male friend who I am close to I usually call them my brother. It's still not the same. Because I don't feel that connection. Even some people who don't have siblings, have a group of cousins that they are close to and are pretty much like their siblings. I had that when I was younger which was cool but it didn't last which is sad. I'm not here to have a pity party, just here to share my thoughts of an only child who grew up in a single parent household. This morning I woke up with a stomachache at like 6 something. I think it's because there was a lot of my mind.It's crazy to me how people tell each other they "love" each other and then that makes it okay to turn around and treat them like ~~shit~~ whenever you're angry or just feel so inclined because it's okay "I love you" at the end of the day. A couple days ago someone on twitter said that "once you have loved someone, you will always love them". So why is it that family members treat each other so bad. How can people walk around saying blood is thicker than water? When family will draw blood with their own before someone on the street. Or your closest friends or lovers will also hurt you and say hurtful things to you before a stranger or an associate? These are all questions I would really like answered. But does anyone truly have the answer to it? I really just don't understand how you can hurt someone so bad that you love unconditionally. Does it come from the vulnerability involved with love? I don't know. I don't know if anyone will even read this. But if you do, please share with me an answer or two. The reason I titled it In the Morning by Kelis is because that song popped into my head when I began to write this.If you have the chance to listen to it please do.

I've been gone for like a week, my bad. I've been busy and in pain. But all that matters is I'm HERE!!! Heyyy. Today I went to an Ethiopian Restaurant with my mother after going to see Alvin Ailey with my mother for Father's Day. The waitress as she seats us says, "WoW,that's a NICE camera!" and then she asked me a few questions, one of them being "are you a professional photographer?" and I said no. But I thought about it & asked my mother "should I have said I AM a professional photographer being as though you can make yourself whatever you want to be so it can manifest into reality?" and she replied with a head nod of approval and an "Obama fist bump". Sooo I've just realized that I have not posted a new entry in about a week or so. Besides Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice [Love]

you'll need a box of whichever kind of cake mix you prefer & a box of 24 Ice Cream Cones (flat bottom cones) & icing of course. Follow the directions and get the proper ingredients that are needed (listed on the back of the box).This is where science comes in. I prefer to get a circular pan & line the pans with the cones so they support each other while in the oven & don't fall over. Fill the cones up a little more than halfway with the cake batter. You CANNOT fill the cones all the way because you need to compensate for when the batter rises in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes at the directed temperature. Cool for 30 mins. Apply icing & sprinkles or any other toppings you would like. ENJOY!
